SUMMIT PROGRAM: CLIMBING & ZIPLINES
Climbing and rappelling walls, zip lines, canopy tours and challenge courses.
I know that many of you have probably strapped on a harness, clipped on a rope with your carabiner and climbed or rappelled. Maybe you have even been on a challenge course or a zip line at some point. But I bet you haven’t seen anything like what is waiting for you at the jamboree in 2013. You Don’t Want To Miss Out How does a massive climbing wall with room for more than 200 Scouts to all climb and rappel at once sound? That’s what you will find at the Climbing Cove in Adventure Valley. Eldorado Climbing Walls is our specialist installing the several different climbing venues at the Summit. Near the climbing area will also be a challenge ropes course that will test ALL your Scouting skills. Safe? Absolutely. But you will stretch your limits—and probably your muscles—to make it all the way through this activity. Zip Lines? We Love Zip Lines! How does not 1, not 2, but 5 parallel zip lines over 3,000-feet long stretching from the top of Adventure Valley across the kayak lake and where you can reach speeds up to 50 mph sound? We call it ZIPZILLA! And it will be one of the longest zip lines in all of North America. Still not challenging enough for you? Then hike on over and try out the multi-leg zip line course up in the treetops of Hemlock Gorge. This is called a “canopy tour.” Love zip lines?
